This can include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resignations<\/li>\n<li>Dismissals<\/li>\n<li>Retirements<\/li>\n<li>Non-certifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"how-do-you-calculate-turnover-rate\"><\/span>How Do You Calculate Turnover Rate?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to calculate the turnover rate for your business, you will need three numbers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The number of employees at the beginning of a month (or another time period). We will call this A.<\/li>\n<li>The number of employees at the end of a month (or another time period). We will call this B.<\/li>\n<li>The number of employees who left during the month (or another time period). We will call this C<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You now need to work out the average. Average = (A+B)\/2.<\/p>\n<p>Next, you need to divide the number of employees who left by the average number of employees. Finally, multiply this by 100 to get your final turnover rate percentage. ((C\/Avg) x100).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"what-are-the-most-common-reasons-for-a-high-turnover-rate\"><\/span>What Are the Most Common Reasons for a High Turnover Rate?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>No matter what business you&#8217;re in, how successful you are, or how great your company culture is, you will lose staff.<\/p>\n<p>But what are the most common reasons for high employee turnover?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No progression<\/strong> &#8211; employees cite progression (or lack thereof) as one of the main reasons for leaving an organization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Being overworked<\/strong> &#8211; no one likes the feeling of being overworked. Make sure you keep an eye on the workload of all your employees and that it&#8217;s kept manageable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lack of feedback or recognition<\/strong> &#8211; employees need to know that they are valued, that their opinion is valid, and that their work is appreciated.
